Your support helps Transracial Journeys meet the unique needs of transracially adopted persons and their entire family.

We need your help!

Transracial Journeys exists to meet the unique needs of transracially adopted persons and their families. Founded in 2013 as a 501(c)3 non-profit, we have grown into a trusted resource, offering quality services and support. Children and their parents have found a safe space to learn, have challenging discussions, and learn from one another. From our roots in greater Cleveland, Ohio, our reach has grown from 20 families to over 70 families and our service territory has expanded to include 13 States in the East and Midwest.

Transracial Journeys relies on a community-based approach to support transracially adopted persons and their families. In consultation with leading thinkers in the field of transracial adoption, we develop targeted programming to help parents with the resources, skills, and understanding to support their children including sessions on complex topics, support groups and local meetups, website and newsletter, and our signature summer camp.

With YOUR support, we can:
1) Widen the circle to include more families,
2) Provide more tools for families to navigate differences of race and culture,
3) Expand our programming for transracially adopted youth throughout the year, and
4) Increase our engagement with transracially adopted adults during the year culminating in their involvement as camp counselors and staff.

Your help will pave the way for Black and Brown transracially adopted children and young adults to be unapologetically themselves and experience safe spaces to grow and find their places in the world. You are equipping adoptive parents with the knowledge, confidence, and language to actively commit to the deep work needed to support their children and disrupt racism in a unique way.

Will you help make a difference in the lives of children and families touched by transracial adoption? Make a donation today!
